SDOHS Band Boosters are led by 8 elected officers, President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Treasurer,
Fundraising Director, and 2 Booster Representatives.
The Band Boosters are a 501C3 non-profit organization. Our main purpose is to develop support and raise funds through corporate sponsorships, fundraisers, and in-kind donations. It takes a village to run a successful program.
This is Maggie’s fifth year as a member of the SDOHS Band Boosters and fourth year as Booster President. She is married to her husband, Jarin & together have three sons. Her oldest son Aiden, graduated from OC and participates in Drum Corps. Her middle son Rylan is a junior and enjoys playing the tenor saxophone & tenor drum. Her youngest, Logan keeps her busy outside of her presidential duties for the organization. She can’t remember life before band and hopes to help create opportunities for every member and parent to share in the happiness the program creates. Alicia Gillman served as Secretary on the OC Band Booster Board for the last 2 years. This is her 5th year with a child in the OC Band program. Her son, Kyle, is a junior and is in leadership playing the mellophone in the marching band and trumpet in Wind Ensemble. She enjoys helping with fundraising efforts & supports the Band Boosters on various tasks such as Corporate Fundraising, 50/50 at football games, Popcorn Sales, Banquet Raffle Baskets, and more! Amber has two children in the SDOHS band program; Thomas, a senior, is a Drum major and Sam, a junior, leader of the low reed section. Both of her children play tenor saxophone. This is Amber's fourth year volunteering and her second year on the board. Amber has over 20 years of experience in the public sector and currently works as the Deputy Director of Intergovernmental and Public Relations for the City of El Mirage. Amber and her husband Mike love being a part of the OC Band family and seeing the positive effect the band has on the lives of the students. Scott is a second-year SDOHS Band Booster volunteer. This is his first-year on the board, where he will be serving as co-treasurer. He has over 28 years of experience in the health care industry, the majority of which spent doing data analysis and project management. He will leverage this experience to support the Treasurer in managing the Boosters’ budget and the collection and disbursement of Booster funds. His step-daughter, Emmeline is a sophomore and plays flute in marching and symphonic bands. She also is on the SDOHS Junior Varsity track team, where she throws shotput, discuss, and javelin. Along with his wife Linda, Scott sees the positive impact that the band program has on Emmeline and countless other students. He is excited to be a part of it. This is Lindsey's 3rd year in the band program and will be her first year serving on the board as the Fundraising Director. Lindsey and her husband Aaron are proud parents of four wonderful children. Her family is at the core of her life, and she finds great joy in supporting and nurturing each of her children's passions.
Two of Lindsey's children, Jack and Paige, are actively involved in the band program. Jack, a junior, plays tenor on the drumline and is co-section leader. Meanwhile, Paige, a sophomore, plays the tuba and leads the low brass section as the section leader.
Aside from their musical pursuits, Lindsey's younger children are equally engaged in their own activities of competitive dance and club soccer.
Lindsey herself is a full-time professional, working as a development coordinator at The ALS Association Arizona Chapter. In her role, she plays an integral part in fundraising efforts and raising awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Lindsey's commitment to her work stems from her genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. Through her dedication, she contributes to the organization's mission and ensures that crucial resources are available to support ALS patients and their families. This is Bethany’s third year as a member of the SDOHS band boosters & second year as a booster representative. She has two kids in the band program. She works at Petsmart and enjoys helping pets. Londyn is a senior & in leadership in the color guard as well as plays the baritone saxophone in wind ensemble. Marlee is a sophomore and a member of the color guard. Bethany grew up in the dance world and started dancing at the age of three. She danced professionally with a modern ballet company for six years as well as taught dance for over twenty years. She is so excited to be a part of such a wonderful program. She loves volunteering and can’t wait to make new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Amber is a second year volunteer and first year board member serving as Booster Representative. She and her husband Adam have two children. Madison who is a Color Guard member, is a Junior. Their son Mason, is an 8th grader and future Eagle Pride Band member. Amber has loved becoming involved with the program and getting to know the other band families. She is excited to help other parents get involved in this amazing program.

Arlene is serving her first year as the Booster Board Secretary. She has also volunteered for numerous booster functions including the backup first aid nurse during competitions. Arlene has 16 years of experience as an RN and almost 9 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Chase is her second child in the OC Band Program. He is a junior who plays the clarinet and is one of the 3 DMAs this year. Her daughter Bella, who plays flute and piccolo, is a senior at NAU. Arlene is excited to share another year with the amazing OC Band and parents and looks forward to what’s in store for this season.
