SDOHS Band Boosters are led by 8 elected officers, President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Treasurer,
Fundraising Director, and 2 Booster Representatives. 1 Booster Rep position is currently open.
The Band Boosters are a 501C3 non-profit organization. (EIN: 05-0584696) Made up of mainly of band & color guard families with a student in the program, the Band Boosters main purpose is to develop support and raise funds for OC Bands through corporate sponsorships, fundraisers, and in-kind donations. It takes a village to run a successful program and we hope you consider becoming an active participant.
Booster President and O’Connor Bands #1 fan, Maggie Bixler is heading into her seventh year as an experienced SDOHS Band Booster. She is married to Jarin who is often seen pulling a band trailer to competitions & together they have three sons. Her oldest Aiden graduated from OC in 2022 and has marched two seasons with the Academy Drum Corps and is currently obtaining his private pilots license. Her second son, Rylan is a senior this year and will play the tenor saxophone in marching band and Wind Ensemble (OC’s varsity band) and is the Woodwind Captain. Rylan will also be auditioning for this years Indoor Percussion Ensemble where he’s played bass drum and the tenors the past two years. Maggie’s 8-year-old Logan, is a familiar face around the program who loves music, soccer and being around people. Outside of her presidential duties, she also plans all of the Booster sponsored events, fundraising at Tempe Diablo Stadium & TSR Amphitheater and helps wherever there’s a need especially loving on the students! Maggie can’t remember life before band and hopes to create opportunities for every member and parent to share in the happiness the program creates. Alicia is a seasoned SDOHS Band program booster, dedicating an impressive six years to supporting the band! She served for two years as Booster Board Secretary and currently tackles the role of Vice President.
Her son Andrew, a current U of A student (Go Cats!), and SDOHS percussion student graduated from a couple years back. Continuing the band legacy, her son Kyle is a Senior this year and was recently appointed Brass Caption Head, rocking the mellophone in marching band and trumpet in Wind Ensemble.
Alicia is a master of many trades! She fuels the band's fundraising efforts through various initiatives, including corporate sponsorships, 50/50 raffles at football games, and enticing raffle baskets. On top of that, she keeps the band's website (eagleprideband.org) humming as the webmaster.

This is Lindsey's 4th year in the band program and will be her 2nd year serving on the board as the Fundraising Director. Lindsey and her husband Aaron are proud parents of four wonderful children. Her family is at the core of her life, and she finds great joy in supporting and nurturing each of her children's passions.
Two of Lindsey's children, Jack and Paige, are actively involved in the band program. Jack, a senior, plays tenor on the drumline and is co-section leader. Meanwhile, Paige, a junior, plays the tuba and is a drum major apprentice.
Aside from their musical pursuits, Lindsey's younger children are equally engaged in their own activities of competitive dance and club soccer.
Lindsey herself is a full-time professional, working as a development coordinator at ALS Arizona. In her role, she plays an integral part in fundraising efforts and raising awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Lindsey's commitment to her work stems from her genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. Through her dedication, she contributes to the organization's mission and ensures that crucial resources are available to support ALS patients and their families. Amber has daughter in the SDOHS Band Program. Sam, a senior and co-leader of the low reed section plays the tenor saxophone. This is Amber's 5th year volunteering and her third year on the board. Amber has 20+ years of experience in the public sector and currently works as the Deputy Director of Intergovernmental and Public Relations for the City of El Mirage. Amber and her husband Mike love being a part of the OC Band family and seeing the positive effect the band has on the lives of the students. Last year, their son Thomas was a drum major and graduated with honors. In the fall, he will attend NAU where he will continue with music in the NAU band! Scott is a third year SDOHS Band Booster volunteer. His step-daughter, Emmeline is a junior and plays flute in marching band and wind ensemble. This is Scott's second-year on the board, where he currently serves as co-treasurer. He is currently a business analytics lead at Cigna. He has over 29 years of experience in the health care industry. He leverages his analytical and project management skills to support the Treasurer in managing the Boosters’ finances. He assists with the preparation and management of the budget and the collection and disbursement of Booster funds. His duties also include other tasks, such as managing merchandise sales at football games and maintiing the Boosters' insruance policies. Along with his wife Linda, Scott sees the positive impact that the band program has on Emmeline and countless other students. He is excited to be a part of it. This is Amber's third year in the SDOHS Band program. She volunteered her first year and stepped up to serve on the board last year. This is her 2nd year as board member serving as Booster Representative. She and her husband Adam have two children. Madison who is a Color Guard member, is a Senior. Their son Mason, is a Freshman at SDOHS. Amber has loved becoming involved with the program and getting to know the other band families. She is excited to help other parents get involved in the amazing program.

Arlene brings a wealth of experience and passion to the OC Band program! For over six years, she's been a dedicated member, currently serving as Secretary on the board. Leveraging her impressive 17+ years as a Registered Nurse and 10+ years as a Nurse Practitioner, Arlene will take on the role of Lead First Aid Nurse for the 2024/25 season.
As a proud band mom, Arlene understands the program firsthand. Her son Chase is a senior & Drum Major this year. Additionally, he plays the clarinet. Her daughter Bella was also in the band as a talented flutist and piccolo player,. She recently graduated from NAU and will be working on her doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at MidWestern University this Fall.
